A few years ago, we held an amazing evening of music and song at Dorchester Abbey to spread awareness of the work Reducing the Risk. The location is an outstanding venue and the event is a great opportunity for DA Champions to come together in a social setting for a great cause. It was so popular that many who came along wanted more, so we plan to repeat the experience as a fundraising event.
We have already asked and some of you have responded but we're once again asking all DA Champs to consider coming along and joining our pop up choir.
We will all get together that morning and rehearse several numbers which include traditional carols (it is near Christmas) and appropriate songs that reflect the ethos of what DA Champions are all about. The choir is a reflection of Champions because everybody brings something (their voice) and can collaborate to create something greater (hopefully). We have a fine Musical Director in Sarah, our very own Gareth Malone, who will put the choir through its paces before the performance!
If you want to help us on this initiative then please fill in our form and we'll be in touch.
Even if you don't feel up to singing, we would love to see you in the audience on the day. You can purchase tickets online and persuade your friends and relations to come along too.
Here is a video of pics from the last event to give a flavour of what it was like:
