Advice for parents

Children can be affected by domestic violence in many different ways. The one thing you can be sure about is that the violence is almost certainly having an impact on them.

Children are most affected if they keep their feelings inside and have no one to talk to. If you can, you should talk to your children about what is happening and give them permission to speak to someone they know and trust.

The NSPCC website provides more information and advice, which you may find useful.
