Safe from Harm
A website Safe from Harm, has been developed to help people keep safe or find out what to do if they need help or think someone is at risk of being hurt or abused.
One in twenty older people experience abuse and one third of people with a learning disability experience bullying on a daily or weekly basis and almost a quarter have been seriously physically assaulted.
However, abuse is not always deliberate. Often people are trying to do their best but don’t really know what is the right thing to do or find themselves at the end of their tether.
There are lots of ways to keep safe. Safe from Harm will point you on your way whoever you are a professional seeking information or a member of the public needing help. Go to www.oxonsafeguardingadults.org.uk
